Number of entries per archive page

  Hello everyone!

  I was wondering if there’s a way to modify the number of entries being displayed when viewing a specific month in the archive section, but without altering the number of entries showed on the main page. I have set my blog to display only the newest two entries on the main page, and that seems to directly affect the number of entries showed in the archived pages (by clicking November 2008 for instance, I will see only two entries instead of the four available for that month). So in short, can those settings be configured independently of each other?

  No, all pages that display posts (archive, main blog page, categories and tags) are controlled by the one setting in settings > reading. There is no way to have different numbers of posts displayed on different pages.
