Number of pages on a site template

Hi! I was curious if there’s a page limit on any of your templates?

Not as I’m aware but remember that to navigate through different pages you need a menu and there may be a limit to how many lines a menu can contain, or how much scrolling you expect visitors to do to find things if you had hundreds of pages. If you’re planning on building a massive site I find WordPress.com sites look better if you concentrate on posts rather than pages. They can be categorised by subject or catalogued by month using widgets for easy navigation. I don’t think there’s any limit on posts/words. There is a 3GB limit on images/media with free plans however if your site is going to be image-heavy.

Thanks! That helps me a lot. My site is currently on Squarespace and the plan I’m on limits your pages. I wanted to be sure before switching over to WP that it wasn’t the same.

  • @paultweathers – There’s no limit on number of pages. @themagicrobot is on point with their comments, too! When a site’s menu is working well it helps reduce decision paralysis for your site visitors, and it gives them the ability to dive deeper into areas of your site that you would like to draw more attention to.
