Number of posts in each category. Is there a plugin for this?

Please excuse my English, I’ll try to be as explicit as possible
I need a plugin or something like it to display the number of posts in each Category. (betwen () – near the category’s name)
Example:
Categories:
Abv (3)
Cat (5)
Dog (6)
Uncategorized (7)
…………Thank you!

Noticing that you don’t have those categories on your blog here, I’m going to take a guess adn say that you have your blog hosted elsewhere. The software that runs WP.com is different from what you’ve downloaded from WP.org or had installed for you by your host. You need to be over at http://wordpress.org/support for assistance with your blog.
I will mention though that all they will do is point you at the codex so you may want to save yourself some time and tookup Template Tags over there. What you’re trying to do is listed already in teh codex.

Do you have a wordpress.com blog? If so then the number of posts in each category cannot be changed.
Or have you downloaded software from wordpress.org? If so then your question should be asked in another forum. WordPress.org software is different from the software we use at wordpress.com. You need to use a second categories widget in the Dashboard > Presentation menu to replace the original widget. Select the new categories widget and click on its settings tab. You’ll see Show Post Counts. If you select this, it should show the number of posts in each category.
