Number of posts is reset

  When I make any updates on existing posts in our WordPress site, the number of posts is reset. What could be the reason for this?

  If I open the post and update it without making any changes, the number of views is reset in the same way.

  Bare in mind that if your websites uses the self-hosted version of WordPress rather than WordPress.com, you should post in the self-hosted forums or alternatively contact your hosting prover. Note the difference here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
