Number of posts on homepage

  Hi, in the settings – reading menu I have the amount of blog posts per page set to 5, but all of my posts are showing on my blog homepage. Can anyone help me out with just having the five posts on the homepage that I am looking for?

  Hi
  That’s called infinite scroll. You can get rid of it when you have at least one widget in the footer widget area. Create a footer widget and then assign how many posts you need on the homepage.

  Why not?
  Have you footer widget activated?
  Have you seen it in the Setting > Reading > Disable Infinite scroll?

  What theme are you using? Twenty Ten and Twenty Eleven have Infinite scroll activated; to disable it, go to Appearance->Widgets and put a widget in the footer, then go to Settings->Reading and disable infinite posts.
