number of view vs. number of comments
-
I have had no views in several months– which makes sense, my blog hasn’t been publicizes AT ALL yet, but I have one comment. Are all views recorded?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Are all views recorded?
Not your own, if the site is public. Oddly enough, views by the administrator count if the site is set on private.

I had a comment, but no view that day — or the day before, or the day after. So how could there be a comment — certainly not my own, or generated in any way by me — show up without a view?
-
It’s evidently possible to comment from the Reader without visiting your website. Did you recognize the source of the comment, because it seems likely that if was someone who follows your website. Do you have followers?
-
It doesn’t show that I do, but you don’t have to be a follower to access from the Reader, do you?
-
okay, NOW it’s showing the person who left the comment…a full day and a half after the time the comment was left. I’ll just consider it a glitch, I guess?

No, because the Reader includes a Recommended Blogs section in addition to Blogs I Follow.

You could request Staff attention if you want an explanation, by adding a “modlook” tag to the sidebar here.
