Number of views has jumped up high

My blog is relatively still in its infancy, it’s not even two months into it. For the most part the amount of viewers per day has climbed solidly, if not rapidly. On average we have maybe 30 views per day.
But 5 days ago, that amount jumped up, so for the past week we’ve had about 100 views each day, mainly all focused on what post (A review of the album “Dookie” by Green Day). I’m not sure what happened, i’d like to believe it was just a really popular post, and i’d like to make sure that it’s not spam or something of that nature.
any idea, thoughts, etc?

Yes. There’s another thread where people have reported similar findings. It’s three pages long now and no definitive answer in sight.

@ryancalorel, your stats look legit to me. Click on one of the high days on your main stats graph, and look at the search engine terms. A lot of people are searching for it and finding your post.

@tellyworth yeah i noticed that. however, when i try searching for those terms, my blog doesn’t come up within the first five pages of the search. ha, i do really hope the stats are legit.

If you and I were to type the exact same search phrase In Google or any other search engine we would be likely to get very different results. If you can’t find it, it doesn’t mean that others can’t, and vice versa. -
oh haha, i didna even realize that. but thank you all for your help, i cant stress that enough!
