Number of views on a blog.

I’m trying to figure out why one of my blogs in the 180 + or – I’ve published had 477 views! The blog – Dog Face Apple Pie – was about a treasured dog and how he inspired a great apple pie. The receipt was included. Usually I’m lucky to get 20 — 30 views each blog. How can I make my blogs more appealing like this one obviously was:) Thanks! Nancy

Here are some tips re: increasing traffic.
If you want to increase traffic then don’t listen to anyone who professes there are passive ways of doing that. Increasing traffic to a blog is hard work. If you want your blog to rank well in search engine results and secure a traffic flow from the SERPs (search engine page results) then that begins with creating and publishing original content posts (not pages) ie. unique content that cannot be found anywhere else on the internet. The internet happens – try looking at your referrals in the stats scetion and see if you have extra referrals from some social media stuff like Facebook – while that will not address how to write more Posts like Dog Face – it might help explain some of the traffic
I have had people share a link to one of my older Posts from time to time and got a bit of extra traffic

I checked my referrals in the stats section and there was nothing from social media. So still a mystery. Maybe someone shared a link.The number on Dog Face Pie is still increasing. Guess I’ll just wait and see what developes.
