Numbers next to menu links and interface

When a visitor browses our site there are numbers next to links. See image.
When we are logged into the WordPress back-end we don’t see the numbers. We’d like to remove the numbers but aren’t sure what is causing them in the first place.

The site tuckeradvisors.com appears to be a self-hosted WordPress (also called “.org”) site hosted on GoDaddy Hosting, and not a site hosted on our WordPress.com service.

To clarify, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities, but the essential difference is that we don’t have access to all WordPress sites, only the ones hosted on our WordPress.com servers. See http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ for more info.
