Numerous questions unanswered

I think the confusion here is that I am really using this as a website so I have set people that I have invited to follow by inviting them through the user invite feature on the dashboard. I invited them as followers so that they could put their email address in to get an email when I post a new blog. My concern still is that those 400 plus invites I sent to people that I know appear to have gotten blocked somehow.(Don’t mean to repeat a previously reported issue, but I feel clarification is needed!) I don’t really intend to get random bloggers. I’m happy if I do, but my goal is to get wp.com to work for those that sign up to follow me with an email address. However, several followers have informed me that they did not get the emails notifying them. I also have an email address set up for a test and it did not come to the test email and it is not in the spam folder. I am using my website/blog to give my known population/retreatants what they asked for including a weekly blog/prayerful reflection. I hope this clarifies what my issues are. Thanks.

Have you had them look in their email spam folder? As I said before, automated emails from WP often go to spam.

Yes, everyone that has told me they did not receive the email has checked spam to make sure it was not in spam. Remember, I have a test email setup for myself and I am not receiving the email. Any ideas about where these emails are?

  • Can you please let me know the test email address and one other email address that hasn’t received the posts?

Since this is a public forum that everyone sees, I would rather not send my email address or one of my followers’ email addresses. Do you work for wp.com? If so, is there some private email I could send the addresses to? Thanks.

  • I do work for WordPress.com.

Instead of sharing the full email addresses, would you please just give me the first four letters of the test email address and the others?

I should be able to match those to your subscribers on our end to get the full email address.

    Thanks for working on this.

  • The emails are safely arriving at those email addresses. Beyond that point, we have no control.

Previously, another user complained about a similar thing, and all of the subscribers who did not receive emails were also from Cox.

I recommend contacting Cox as a customer to find out why they are not delivering your emails.
