  Please can someone do a step by step to show me how to do this and make the slider feature thing work. I love WordPress but I have just tried to do this and I can’t make it work.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I made the Front Page Displays
  A static page
  Selected the News Page (with template) as Front Page
  Posts Page ‘About’ page

  but can’t see any slider. In fact the Front Page is something different altogether…

  I’m obviously stupid, but I don’t see what I’m supposed to do here. Any help appreciated.

  Are you supposed to add the News Page to the Menu? I will try that….

  I think I’ve got it, you have to make the posts sticky and then the slider appears as if by magic….

  But it doesn’t look very good…. there are captions going across the images and then a fuzzy bottom bit…. :( I don’t think this is for me. Beyond my abilities to sort out.
