Obliterating my blog from Google Search
-
I’ve never posted anything on my blog, which I had intended to use as a portfolio before I decided to host it on my own domain. However, it’s still beating my ACTUAL portfolio in a vanity search. I know WordPress doesn’t have any control over whatever algorithm Google uses to rank pages, but does anyone have any tips for total, utter SEObliteration of the empty blog?
I’ve already removed my name from the blog, though it still shows up under the copyright notice at the bottom (anyone know how to fix that?). I would delete my blog, but I don’t know what happens to it afterwards — I think it leading to a ‘this blog is deleted!’ is worse than having it lead to ‘this blog has moved’ which I made it do just now. I also made it private. Basically, I just want it to not show up on Google, full-stop.

Set it as private, DO NOT DELETE IT because then you can never get it back.
Now you have to contact Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc and ask them nicely to drop it from their search.
