Ocean Mist: Changing Font size causes unwanted background change
-
This is what I did:
1) Copied the original stylesheet into the CSS editor.
2) Changed the font size from 70% to 80%.
3) Selected “Start from scratch and just use this”What happened:
The fonts increased in size as expected.
The white background for posts disappeared.
So did the header image.Suggestions how to resolve this much appreciated!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

When you alter a theme’s stylesheet, you only need to put in the Editor the modification/additions to the CSS, not the entire thing. Read this for more info:
http://csswiz.wordpress.com/2009/10/15/if-you-have-the-wp-com-css-upgrade/CSS is theme specific. If you have custom CSS and later change themes, you need to delete whatever CSS you have in the Editor, otherwise, you’ll get undesired results.
To ‘reset’ a theme, you need to delete the CSS in the Editor, make sure the “add to existing CSS” radio button is checked, then save. Things should go back to normal.

Also note that you have failed to provide the complete URL for the blog in question starting with http:// Please post it now.

When you CSS edit a theme you can no longer use the header image uploader. You must upload the image into the Media Library and then link to it in your CSS.

Oops! I thought the URL would be posted automatically since it asked which blog I was referencing when I started this thread. (Obviously, I’m new at this and qualify as borderline ignoramus). URL: http://pczu.wordpress.com/
I think you may have answered my question. Unfortunately, I can’t try it at the moment as have to rush off to the vet with a sick cat but will try what you recommend later. Thank you!

You’re welcome. Please note that I have marked this thread so our Moderators move it to the CSS editing forum for you. There are only 2 Volunteers who help with CSS and they will get to this thread when they can.
