Oceanwp fixed header padding issues need help
-
Hi,
Would be greatful if someone can help me. Oceanwp has a nasty feature where they want you to pay like $40 so you can stick headers. I know how easy it is to normally stick a header but it almost seems like they have gone out of their way to make this difficult.I use the following code which achieves 99% of my result
#site-header {
position: fixed;
}This does exactly what I need but straight away breaks the formatting of the site header and it goes full screen while the rest of the page is 1280px. That’s ok I fix that to buy adding width: 1280px to the header part above but that starts messing with my image carosel as I load it with shortcode straight after the header.
The bigger issue here is that when I create position:fixed the header doesn’t push the content down but instead goes over the top of the existing content so it starts messing with the whole layout.
If someone could help me stick my header properly in this crazy theme I would really appreciate it. It seems that messing with #site-header just creates more issues as it overwrites other important backed css stylings.
Regards,

I ended up fixing this. You can’t do it manually to save your life unless your an expert coder.
The way to do it properly is download a plugin in word press called ocean stick anything. Go to the installed app under Theme Panel -> Stick Elements and in the Elements put #site-header
Issue sorted. Whoever wrote this plugin is a legend. What a dirty way for oceanwp to try and get money out of people.
