odd line breaks
-
Hi guys,
When I inserted an image into my blog, I got a weird line break in the text that wrapped around it. There was one line hanging out in space under the image. I could not move, retype, or tab over this line so that it neatly fit into the paragraph that wrapped around to the right of the image.
I consulted all the forums in line breaks, but could not find an answer to this particular question. Thanks! Your support is awesome!

Try editing it in the Text editor, and that way you can force the text to break where you want.

Which blog are you talking about? The one linked to your username has only one post (with no images).

Hi justpi and raincoaster,
Thanks to both of you! The blog I am talking about is http://downsizedlivingmag.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=125&action=edit
Raincoaster, I looked at the blog in the Text editor, but the line dangling out in the middle of space wasn’t there — there was no image to wrap around. I couldn’t fix it because the line in question was simply part of an ordinary paragraph.
Thanks!

By “blog” I mean blog but you mean post. The link you gave is a link to your post editor: we cannot access your dashboard. You need to publish the post so we can see what you’re talking about and find what’s wrong with it.

Thanks, justpi! I didn’t know that. If I can’t find a way to fix the line, I’ll publish the post so you can see.
All the best,

Hi justpi,
I just published the post, so here you will see the line break. http://downsizedlivingmag.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=125&action=edit
Thanks so much!

That’s still an edit link. Don’t give us the link from your dashboard, give us the actual link to the post on your blog.

You mean this post:
http://downsizedlivingmag.wordpress.com/2013/06/20/local-carpenter-thrilled-to-work-on-billionaires-third-mansion/There’s nothing strange about it. Wrap-around means the rest of the content will start next to the image, and continue below it if its longer than the image. The last line of the paragraph that starts with “Union leader” is past the image, so it shows below it.
The only thing you can do is change the relationship of text to image by inserting a smaller version. Go to Settings > Media and set the default width for the medium option to 180. Then edit the post, remove the image and re-insert it.

Hi raincoaster and justpi,
Thanks for all your help! I will try justpi’s suggestion and see if that works.
You guys are great!
