odd link format

  this just seems to be the day of unusual links for me…hehe. my blog shows that people are clicking certain posts that are shown with a number. the numbers don’t correspond to any id numbers of the posts either. is this something to be concerned about or no? when I click the links, it just takes me to the main page. the link itself shows up as http://weirdscience.wordpress.com///

  well under stats and then under ‘top posts,’ there’s a number showing. this just started in the past day and the numbers I see are 51 and 57. unlike the other posts that have their name and will take me to the post if i click the link, the numbered ones take me to the main page and they also (when I drag my mouse over) show the link with /// at the end of the main page address.

  it’s perhaps nothing to worry about but I just wanted to make sure! :) thanks for any suggestions or info you can offer.

  Every post has a number and when you see just a number it means you have deleted the post in question so it no longer has a title.

  you know, I almost think we need a big reminder at the top of the forums about the ‘resolved’ thing. I consistently forget to do this..ack..hehe.

  People don’t read the sticky posts that are there now.
  Setting that aside, it’s no big deal. If the original poster doesn’t mark the thread “resolved” then a Moderator or any Staff member can do so.
