odd new subscribers

  suddenly I am getting plenty of new subscribers while I don’t have a newsletter. I don’t know how they can become ‘subscribers’, I received 20 in the last 2 hours and I have never got that before. Maybe it comes from my contact form. I have added a recaptcha. I don’t know what else I can do. I was trying to test my form and I am getting an error message when I try it but it seems those subcribers managed. I am guessing it is spams. I don’t know what’s that for and what I can do to stop it. Thank you.
