odd pictures showing up on blog
-
I print my blog yearly and this time I’ve had some posts not use the pictures that I have on the post, but a strange one from another post shows. Only way I could get my book on Blog2Print to be correct for printing was to delete those pics out of media, but why did this happen. I’m looking through my 2020 posts now, so no surprises and am still seeing it again. This is only one of my issues, but one at a time. One this post: https://everyonehasafamilystorytotell.wordpress.com/2020/02/27/family-photographs-and-their-stories-the-cambino-family/
On the photo with words under: Grandma Minnie celebrating her 85th birthday party… and there is that famous… family photo re-framed. This picture doesn’t pull over to Blog2print, but instead there is a memorial plaque of an old post there instead. Can you help in why this is happening, never happened before. -
Hi there,
Is this the photo that’s used?
Blog2Print converts your site by scraping the content. In other words, they essentially use a program to read every page on your site and just copy what it sees there.
I see that file linked in the source code for the post in my browser, so Blog2Print’s scraper got it from there.
If I edit that post, click on the image, and click the pencil icon to edit the image, I also see that image in the editor, so you likely had that image set on the post at some point, or else there might be a problem with your site’s database.
Edit the post, remove the image from the post, and re-insert it into the post (you shouldn’t need to re-upload it to the media library).
Let me know once you’ve done that, and I can check if the source code for the post still shows that other image.
You can also try a different service – blogbooker.com works by taking the actual WordPress export file and converting it into a PDF format for you. Doing it that way is much more reliable than a service that uses scrapers or your site’s RSS feed, so that might work better in this case.
