Odd problem with contact form

I’ve been working on this new blog all day (it’s currently set to private until I’ve ironed out the details).
Finally I have come to the contact page and am stuck.
I get this instruction from the Support page: “Once you publish your post, this shortcode will be transformed into a fully functional contact form”. .
What appears after I publish it is the contact page in all its glory WITH all of my contact details in it. I certainly didn’t enter this info – it is all my wordpress info automatically entered.
I’ve tried going back into the code to eliminate my details but they aren’t in the code.
Is this normal – are my details only visible to me but not to others?
If anyone can help I will be very appreciative.

Yes, you guessed it: your details are visible to you but not to anyone else. This is a very common question, since it’s so alarming when you encounter it, but there is NO danger someone else will comment as you unless you use a public computer and leave yourself logged in or something. Even if that happens, the contact form disallows all malware, so the worst that could happen is someone could email you pretending to be you.

Anyone that is logged in will have their contact info auto filled in the form – that is a feature and nobody but you can or will see your contact info. If I was on your site the form would have my contact info auto filled out.
