Odd Viewers Pattern

    Hi, there! Typically, I receive a hundred and fifty views a day. Today I got 400- most of which came from unknown search terms, through Google Images. Every single image link on my blog had been clicked, the views came from one visitor in Germany, and since 12AM today (I’m writing this at 12:43 AM,) I have received 43 views, all from one visitor in Germany. I was wondering if “view spam” was a thing, and if this was a glitch or if someone just really, really liked my blog. Thank you!

    Hi there,

    Occasionally, computer bots can stumble across your site and generate views that exceed normal levels. This would be considered “fake” traffic as it would result from a computer and not from a viewer. On the other hand, the pattern you describe (clicks on all media) is a bit odd. It doesn’t appear that this is a glitch within your stats page. It’s likely that this may just be a user exploring your site (for quite awhile it seems!).

    The clicks and views seem to have returned to normal levels. I’m going to assume that this was just an abnormal stats spike for right now. However, if it continues, please let me know!
