Odeo mp3 player in sidebar

If you can’t understand why WordPress.com does not allow a free range of multimedia players, you need to read all the FAQs and all the posts over again, because you just didn’t get the whole issue. It’s a security thing.

I’d love to be able to include our weekly conference call recordings on my team blog but don’t see how that is possible. Especially after reading the FAQ’s and all these posts.

Is there any new info or alternate ways to upload mp3s?
    Thank you.

If you have the space upgrade, you can host your MP3s here; otherwise you’ll need to find another host, Odeo or Box.net or Archive.org or somewhere else. Once you’ve got the file hosted, you can just use the WordPress audio player to put it in your blog. It’s easy. You get the URL of the uploaded MP3, say podcast.mp3 and then you just put it in the code like this:

    [audio podcast.mp3]

This is definitely not the best thread to learn how to put audio files in a blog. It’s odeo-in-sidebar-specific.
