I was trying to use odeo Studio, and can’t seem to get into their website. Is it down right now? Can’t get into Odeo either…

Oops, now can’s get into either Odeo or Odeo Studio. This is very creepy. I wish WP had been able to go with a more credible audio site.

I just came back to say that my audio player on runningthroughrain in the post I made this weekend about the fact that I don’t post on weekends is the WordPress audio player, but I’m playing an MP3 hosted at odeo, and now it won’t play at all.

And two minutes later, it will. Strange.

Okay, it says “unable to load audio” after I uploaded it. That’s nothing unusual: odeo has failure as the default it seems. Here’s the MP3, see if it works for you:

I’m going to post it in a test post to see if I can use it with the WP audio player. UPDATE: yep, works fine.

Hoooray…I finally got this Odio Studio thing to work for me! Now I can record audio for my posts!! Well, it only took me all night. Guess we have a slow learner here!

I guess that I spoke too soon. Now I’m back where I started…can’t record on Odeo Studio and multiple emails to Odeo support go unanswered. The silence is deafening…grrrr….

Yes, and their forum isn’t much help either, even if you can find it. Sorry to hear about that. Can you not use your mic to record MP3s on your hard drive and upload those? Or is Upload to Odeo not working for you either?

Remember that newer members can’t upload; have you done this successfully before? They disabled it at some point not long after WP approved them.

Then maybe the best workaround is to record to your hard drive and upload from there? Sorry, it’s clunky, but that’s Odeo for ya.

I got a “error opening file” when trying to play that one sorry. I am on FireFox 2.0.0.3 [edit: same in IE6]

I seriously doubt that that is correct. You are using the Code tab of the editor to add this in, right?
