  Hi,

  I am trying to get my blog off line without cancelling the account. I don’t want anybody else seing it anymore, but I still have docs I want to recover from there. How can i do so?

  You can make your blog private, keeping it as is, and limiting who can view it. https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/ Here are instructions to delete the site completely. https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/
  I am not sure I understand what you are asking about recovering docs.This is how you export files https://en.support.wordpress.com/export/
