  w.bloggar isn’t a WYSIWYG editor, meaning you have to write the HTML (or use the buttons to do it for you), instead of writing a post in a way you would write a Word document. Interestingly, w.bloggar lets you either choose to preview through a Mozilla-based preivew, or an Internet Explorer based one. w.bloggar supports trackbacks, pingbacks, FTP and most blogging platforms. Also, it colour codes the HTML.

  I believe the wordpress referred to on the Deepst Sender plug-in is the wordpress.org version and not the wordpress.com version. Can anyone verify this?
  From the site:

  It is primarily a LiveJournal client, although it supports Blogger (Atom) and WordPress (metaWeblog) too, with support for more stuff to come. Note that the actual Deepest Sender website will always have the most up to date version.

  Should work. WPMu supports metaWeblog. That’s what Blogdesk uses when it accesses a wp blog.

  What you’re looking for is something that supports the MetaWeblob or MoveableType APIs. You can also use a publisher that uses the Blogger API but that is so featusre limited (it doesn’t do categories for example) it’s probably not worth the effort.

  Trent, I’ve installed Journler on my mac. Although I haven’t used it yet, it looks quiet powerful. You might want to give it a try too.

  Is there a blog that you can run on your desktop – ie. it’s never online, but simply way of organising your personal docs?
