og:description meta tag is not using the post excerpt

  My site doesn’t seem to be using the post excerpt to generate the og:description meta tag (eg see http://readingtoourkids.wordpress.com/2012/02/01/finished-wintersmith-by-terry-pratchett/ ) This is a bit frustrating as I’m putting some boilerplate stuff at the top of each post but I don’t want this used when posting on facebook, google+,etc.
