Old Account?

  Hi.

  I’ve gathered as much thus far that my Gravitar site is directly associated with my WordPress account. I say this because on another website (StackExchange), my gravitar is different than what I currently have it set at, and if I log into my Gravitar account with my WordPress account, it’s not reverted, so this means (in my understanding, at least) that I must have had a previous WordPress, and thus a previous Gravitar, account.

  But I don’t want to screw it up and accidentally delete my primary WordPress blog and account if I’m wrong about this.

  Could someone help me straighten this up?

  Hi there,

  Each Gravatar image is linked to an email address, so if you used a different email address to sign up at StackExchange, you’ll need to change the Gravatar linked to that address. If you don’t remember your login details for that email address, you can reset your password by entering that email address here:

  https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

  Hi,

  My friend set up a site a while ago and she gave it to me as she moved on to another platform. She figured it was easier for me to change her existing site rather than set up a new site (I am not tech savvy). I changed the email account linked to the account but whenever I post the link to my site on sites like Facebook it still shows her old gravatar.

  How do I fix this?

  @rachelmcr: I reset my password, but it’s not accepting it. It keeps saying either the email address or the entered password is invalid; but I know both are correct because I was very careful with the email address (I typed it slowly, key-by-key) and the password was just copy/pasted.

  @sarahtehcat — What email address are you trying to log in with? That will help me continue troubleshooting this with you. (You can include that email address in your reply and our forum software will hide it from everyone except staff.)

  Thank you for saying my email address would be obfuscated from others’ view; that was making me antsy a bit at first.
