  How do I take down an old WordPress site? Not sure what the email used was, let alone password, and my friends and I are trying to take down a joke we started almost ten years ago.

  Hi there, only the owner of the site can delete it. If you don’t remember the correct username or the email address and you had email notifications of new comments or feedback on your site, you could try leaving a comment or filling out a contact form on that site and then checking all your active email accounts to see where the email notification goes.

  Barring that, you’ll need to recover your account following the support guide at https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/
