Old Admin Panel gone?
-
Just yesterday, it was still here. Plus, I still had an option to switch to the classic editor mode. I despise blocks, I refuse to use them. Classic Block doesn’t do it for me and has still ruined posts I’ve tried to go back to edit. I want to finish editing posts properly, at least until I can find a service that works better for me. So, where is the panel and where is the classic editor option?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It sounds like your account has been switched to the unified navigation which is being rolled out on WordPress.com. You can read about this here: https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/unified-navigation/
If your account has been switched and you used to access the Classic Editor through WP Admin, you’ll need to turn on the Advanced Navigation in your Account Settings -> Dashboard Appearance to access the Classic Editor: https://wordpress.com/support/account-settings/#dashboard-appearance
The Classic Editor is currently available, but in the long run, you’ll want to give the full Block Editor or the Classic Block a workout. The more you use it, the easier it will become. We have a great guide here specifically for writers and bloggers that you can find here:

Hi. Thanks for expressing your opinions on the Block Editor, and joining the large group of unimpressed users who have done so (I’m keeping count).
The Classic Editor is still available to all WordPress.com users. Here’s the Classic Editor support page, and the recently revised How to Access the Classic Editor section of that support page.

Hi @rubinfeldbrian can you give us detailed information about what happens when you edit old posts? And actually, why you edit old posts, which doesn’t ping your subscribers, rather than posting a new update, which does? (You can use a pingback to refer to the older post you’re updating https://wordpress.com/support/comments/pingbacks/ and it will appear in the comment section of the older post.)
I also see that you’re using a retired theme on your above site. https://herodemo.wordpress.com/blog/ You can use it for as long as you want, but the thing about retired themes is they are no longer updated other than for security, so at some point in the future WordPress.com might roll out a feature that will break the theme. Let us know if you’d like help looking for a newer theme.
