Old blog connected to email address I no longer have access too

    Hello,

    I have been wanting to close down an old blog for years but due to not having access to the old email address I cannot access the old account.
    Is there an alternative route to going about this? I really do need to close this blog down.

    Hi,

    If you don’t have the original email used to set up the account, you can use the following information to gain access:

    – A transaction ID for any upgrades purchased for the account:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/transaction-id/

    – The account activation link which we sent to your email when you first registered.

    You can use this information in the account recovery form:

    Recover Your Account

    If you aren’t able to provide the original email, transaction ID or account activation link, it isn’t possible to recover the account.

    WordPress has strict policies to protect its users from third parties who might be trying to access users’ accounts.
