old blog not used I want name

  Hi
  I had to join up just to ask a question.
  So this blog name will never be a blog cos I don’t want this name! I will delete it once the question has been answered.
  I want the name of a blog that has only been used 3 times and they were back in Aug 31st 2011 is this possible?
  It’s obviously not being used and denying someone else with a website and .com site linking a blogsite and my website together. If this is not possible I will look for another blog site with the name I want available.
  Just giving you the option of having me.

  There is no expiration date on blogs unused or otherwise. If you can make contact on your own with the owner of an unused blog then there is a means of a consenting blog owner to transfer the blog to another username account. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account

  In the case that there is no contact information Staff will not breach the privacy policy and provide you with an email address.

  However, you can register another blog with a similar name. http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/

  Or you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade and it will not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is.

  That’s unfounded it then will not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is when you purchase domain mapping. Follow these instructions if you already have a domain that you registered elsewhere, and you want to map that domain to your blog. http://support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/
