Old blog posts

That depends. Share more details. Are you wanting to recover content or/and recover an address? Was it a custom domain you cancelled? If so is it available to be registered again? Was the site hosted here at WordPress.com? Was it on a free plan or a paid plan? If you deleted a subdomain ending in .wordpress.com over a year ago (without retaining a backup) then content and address will be long gone.

I paid for a site hosted at wordpress and had a custom domain through hostgater. I cancelled both. I managed to find my site online but obviously I can write posts ect or even log in on wordpress so I literally just wanted to reinstate that exact old site if possible.

Hi there,
Can you please let me know your site’s address so I can point you in the right direction of getting support?
Please note that these forums are for WordPress.com hosted sites only.

Hi there, my old site was unite-and-inspire.
I just created a new account called intentionallyconnecting but that was before I realised I could actually reinstate my old blog. So if I want to cancel ‘intentionallyconnecting’ and reinstate ‘unite-and-inspire’ what shall I do? I tried logging in with old details for unite-and-inspire account but it takes me to intentionallyconnecting site because email addresses are the same I assume. -

unite-and-inspire.wordpress.com or uniteandinspire2017.wordpress.com
I’m not sure which one as the email said unite-and-inspire.wordpress.com has been mapped onto uniteandinspire2017.wordpress.com
-
unite-and-inspire.wordpress.com doesn’t exist
https://uniteandinspire2017.wordpress.com/ still exists.
Have you tried logging in to the account that may be the one connected to that site with the username and password rather than an email:
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/users/simplylearning2016/but it takes me to intentionallyconnecting site because email addresses are the same I assume.
You can’t have two different WordPress.com accounts using the same email address. If you have access to the email address associated with the site see also: https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/
-
Just noting too, since the account for uniteandinspire2017.wordpress.com had an upgrade, you can regain access using our secure Account Recovery form:
You’ll add the correct site and the transaction ID to the form, then support will verify.
