Old browsers

Just wondering if there are any problems with opening your wordpress.com site using IE8 or older version?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

WordPress.com is optimized for current versions of Firefox, Chrome, Safari and Internet Explorer. Using older browser versions, particularly IE 8 or below, will result in increasingly reduced functionality.
-
The browsers and version so them that are supported are found here > http://browsehappy.com and if you are running Windows XP and can’t upgrade from IE9 to IE11 then you can switch to using Firefox or Chrome.
-
I do realize all browsers should be up to date however If someone is still using IE8, will they be able to open the site without having to update their browser?
-
They may be able to view your site, but the layout and functionality may be compromised, and they may not be able to view everything properly or interact with comments, etc. Ideally they still will be able to do so, but we aren’t providing backwards compatibility with browsers that are that old.

If you take a look here your can wipe your forehead – whew! The good news is that only 2.7 % of those surfing the web are using IE8 these days http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_explorer.asp
