Old cookie plugin banner won't go away even after deactivating

    Hi there,

I am just about to launch my site. I had initially installed a cookie consent plugin called Cookie notice for GDPR & CCPA. I customized the design according to my site and published it, but the changes weren’t showing, and some buttons weren’t working.

So I deactivated and uninstalled it and then installed another cookie consent plugin called CookieYes. This one seems simpler and very easy to work with but, after I activated this one, I can still see the previous banner (that too with the customizations that weren’t showing before). And it won’t go away.

How do I stop the previous cookie consent from showing on my site for good? I’d really appreciate if someone could help me step by step since I am pretty new to this.

Thank you so much in advance.

    Hi there:

We are unable to help because we don’t host your site directly on our WordPress.com managed hosting. Instead, your site is hosted with a different provider on a separate host, and we’re unable to provide support. But I can get you pointed in the right direction.

The good news is that because your host uses the open-source variant of the WordPress platform (which functions differently than what we offer here on WordPress.com), help is available at the community forums here:

    https://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting/

The folks in the open-source forum are more familiar with these issues and are in the best position to help.

I hope this points you in the right direction.
