old editor

Please tell me how I can get to publish my post on the old editor? Where is it? I go to WPADMIN and I don’t see it. Where is it?

If you attempt to create/edit any post/page in your Dashboard, you should see the Classic Editor.
If not, would you please share a screenshot of what you’re seeing using https://snipboard.io/ ?
-
I’m sorry. I followed the instruction for the 4 steps but no link appeared here when I tried to paste it in this reply. Believe me, there is no classic editor on my dashboard and no instructions on how to pull it up.
-
I assume you’re working on a site hosted here? What happens at https://tonyequale.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post-new.php
-
-
Surely just https://tonyequale.wordpress.com/wp-admin/ and then creating a new post or page.
-
I just tried it again by clicking on the “+write” tab. But when I do that the block editor comes up. It tells me to start typing or choose a block. No old editor appears.
-
Got it. Instead of clicking Write, can you click the new post button here?
https://tonyequale.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php -
This is the link you sent me:
https://tonyequale.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.phpThere was no “new post” button any where that I could see.
-
I still feel that no one has shown me how to pull up the “old editor” directly and on my own. What I have done is to save the “link” that “themagicrobot” sent me that includes “…/wp-admin/post-new.php” That link brings it up. It is the only one. And I will use it in future for new posts.
Is it possibe that I have a defective version of WP on my computer? In any case, thank you all for your attempts to help me. I appreciate it very much.

Hi there,
The Add New post button that @supernovia is referring to is located at the top of that page https://tonyequale.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php
Is it possibe that I have a defective version of WP on my computer?
No. There’s nothing stored or installed on your computer. Everything is stored on our servers.
-
If you wish to use the classic editor you need to stay in wp-admin. The “Write” buttontop right will always take you to the Block editor,
I still feel that no one has shown me how to pull up the “old editor” directly and on my own.
Again you just go to https://tonyequale.wordpress.com/wp-admin/ and the classic editor is found when you edit existing posts and pages or create new ones there.
-
Thank you all for your patience with me.
At this point, I have finally found the “add new” button that fstat showed me. When I click that button the old editor comes up. I guess it was the same button that supernovia was referring to that I never found.
But I would just like to point out that going to wp-admin does not automatically bring up that button or tell you how to do so. The only way I have found, so far, to gain access to that button is first to click on “your posts” with a number alongside the image of a thumbtack at the top of the page left. There is absolutely nothing direct or intuitive about that procedure. I found it after clicking on every live link on wp-admin. I hope your other changes are not so disguised or labyrinthine.

??? It has always been the case here when using wp-admin, the now obsolete My Sites editor or the Block editor that the main way to reach your posts is to click on “Posts” in the lefthand menu. The only recent difference is that the “Write” shortcut button will now always take you to the Block editor,
-
The difference is that before the block editor took over, I did not have to go to wp-admin to write a new post on the editor that I know. Now I do. And I was totally unfamiliar with this procedure. Whether it was in place before or not, it seems to me that some clear step-by-step directions were in order.
