Old .edu WordPress blog
-
As part of an undergrad college course in 2008, I was required to set up a WordPress blog for and use it to write on occasional assignments. I’d like to take the blog down now, or at least make it private, but the email account it’s attached to — my .edu university email address from a decade ago — no longer exists. Is there a way to add a new email account to a WordPress account, when I can’t log in to the WordPress account in the first place?

you need to prove ownership else anyone could take a blog away from someone – normally that means being logged in to change the email – so see below
Account Recovery
Log completely out of WordPress then fill out this form
https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery
What you will need to do

Thanks! Normally that would be all I need, but email account with activation details no longer exists, so I’m unable to complete the form …

there should be a way around the boiler plate (so says the staff)
But I have flagged this for the staff to help if there is not some sort of “other” option
