Old fart needs Dashboard help

    Hello WordPressers, One and All,

I hit a wall at Square One in regards to setting up my blog and assigning a theme.

My Dashboard does NOT contain a link for General Settings, only personal, so all the wonderful support info is essentially useless to me. Any help other than to go to General Settings in Dashboard would be much appreciated. True, my having a more Internet oriented brain would also help immensely, but alas, this is my first ever attempt at blogging, let alone creating one.

Yeah, I use to help the Clan hunt Wooly Mammoths when I was a kid.

Thanks – Bob Keenan, a.k.a., “frustrated old fart on the verge of giving up”

For starters we need a link to the blog you are asking about beginning with http before we can provide accurate help.

Look down near the bottom of your dashboard. You should see an option that merely says “Settings”. Click that link and it will expand and one of them should be labeled “General”. I hope this answers it.

Hi Chris – I looked, it’s not there. Thanks for taking the time. I just stumbled across something that said if I registered as a “private blog” the General Settings may not appear??

Hello auxclass – It’s my blog: rakeenan (or bobkee47) .wordpress.com, I’m not certain. The only page I seem to be able to open in regards to my specific blog is the Profile page with the Dashboard. Thanks for your comments.
