Can I permanently go back to the old format?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there. I wish I could tell you yes, but whoever’s in charge are dead set on the new editor and My Sites pages. You can follow and participate in the ongoing discussion here: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/please-reinstate-the-option-of-choice-to-use-the-old-publishing-format?replies=278
The simplest option now is to bookmark your WP-Admin dashboard and always create and edit new posts and pages via that. The link to your WP-Admin dashboard is here: http://mountainperspective.wordpress.com/wp-admin/
If you don’t mind “getting your hands dirty” a bit, another user has created a workaround in the form of a user script you can install in your browser that will automatically take you to the classic editor every time the new one tries to load if you click the New Post or Edit buttons in the admin bar. It works like a charm and is much simpler than it appears. See this link for instructions: https://github.com/tpenguinltg/wpcom-edit-post-redirect.user.js

Thank you. I’ll give those a try. Many of my blogger friends are not at all happy with the new format and can’t understand WP’s logic in making it so much more difficult.

Please point them to the first link I gave you. The more people complain in that thread, the better chance we have to get staff to listen. One of the arguments made by staff is that only a few people are complaining, which they say mean most people like the new way. Let’s prove them wrong.
Also tell them about the workarounds. That user script by tpenguinltg really works great.
