old inactive blog I can't shut down

  Hallo,
  some days ago I started my first (or at least this is what I thought) blog on wordpress. I wanted to name it claudiavalentini.wordpress.it but this name already exists. I checked and i discovered that it belongs to an old inactive mioblog’s blog with just one post (only title no content) opened in february 2010 and never used ever after. I strongly thing this is mine. I remember trying something back then and forgetting all about it. But there is no way to enter this blog so I cannot check. Is there a way to try to find the user/ enter it/ shut it down/ so that I can use the name for my new blog?

  You can try leaving a comment, and asking the owner if they can transfer it to you:

  Otherwise you’d need to sign up for an available address. Maybe try a domain name?
