    the site is https://tsofwbyc.wordpress.com
This was a site for an effort to start up a youth camp for our area. The effort failed, sue to lack of interest/funding. I never realized the site was still up, until I did a Google search to check searchability for our church site. I have tried every email that I currently have, and cannot access the admin page to delete. Please advise

Note the relevant username account https://en.forums.wordpress.com/profile/tsofwbyc

There are two questions you need to answer yourself:

    1. What is the exact URL of this old blog?
    2. Exactly which username account registered it?

Every WordPress.COM blog has a sole owner. It is the person with the WordPress.COM username account who registered the blog under that username account and a single associated email address, and who is the original Admin of the blogs registered under that username account.

You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard and delete the site https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/

Clicking this link should display all blogs registered under the same username, including the hidden ones: https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs&show=hidden

If you do not see the blog here http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/ then
    follow this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#my-blogs-dashboard-visibility

If the log-in information is lost visit https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

If you are not successful gaining access to the blog then please complete the form for account recovery at this link https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery and submit it to the Account Recovery Staff and provide proof ownership, so they can contact you by email ie. not on these public support forums which are available to everyone with internet access.

I have exhausted every effort you described. I have tried my current email accounts to no avail. The lost password feature does not work if you are not using the same email account as was used in setting up the account, and if you have no record providing “proof of ownership.” I do have a WP account now, but this site is not connected to it.

Thanks for your response, but I am still dead in the water.

Staff cannot and will not breach privacy policy and provide access to the site to this username account https://en.forums.wordpress.com/profile/porterpastor. The actual blog owner is this username account https://en.forums.wordpress.com/profile/tsofwbyc and unless or until you log-in under that username account you have reached an impasse.

You will have to contact the site’s actual owner and have them delete their blog or transfer the site to your username account.

If you are aware of whoever https://en.forums.wordpress.com/profile/tsofwbyc may be and what the registered email address for that account is you can contact that person and have them transfer the blog to your https://en.forums.wordpress.com/profile/porterpastor account.

:( I AM the actual owner. I created the site, and was the admin. I served as the secretary/treasurer of the entity. That was at least two computers, and (unfortunately) another email account ago. I was hopeful that someone with WP could at least make the site “private,” so that it would not show up on search engines.

I’m sorry but I cannot assist you any further with this. Account Recovery Staff cannot make any site private based on a claim that one owns it, without any proof of ownership being provided. :(

    Hi there,

I have replied to you via email to discuss what can be done, but also want to confirm what @timethief said that we cannot restore access to an account if you are unable to provide the information needed for verification.

Please let me know if you don’t receive my email, or if you have any more questions.
