Old post continues to appear at the top

How can I get an old post to stop appearing at the top of the site? I did not make it sticky so I don’t know why this is happening.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

“From then, to now, to you: the Sedgwicks’ Christmas card” is marked featured. Did you select it as a featured post?

Yes, because that was my newest post and I wanted it to appear on top. The problem was that a post of two days earlier (I post every day) kept appearing at top – that’s why I put the stickiness in this new post. Thanks for trying to help!

Your top three posts are all dated December 22, 2014. If there isn’t enough time between posts published on the same date the order can be confused. I’ve seen some forum topics on this recently but was unable to find one tonight. I think the recommended minimum time between posts is something like 8 hours. The times can be modified at the post editor in the Visibility section of the Publish module.

I appreciate your help! In fact the posts were put up at least 24 hours apart, but for some reason the date of posting shows up on all of them as Dec. 22. It’s very strange; I’ve never encountered this before. Wondering if it has something to do with the fact that the two most recent posts (which showed up below the troublesome one, rather than above it, until I stickied the most recent one) were posted from the mobile site. Mind you, I’ve posted from mobile many times in the past and never had this problem. Thinking a bug may have crept into WordPress. I suppose I could take down all three posts and try reposting them in order – from the main site, not mobile. It’s annoying, though.

1. Confirm your timezone is correct
The default timezone is UTC time. You can reset your timezone here > Settings > General.Select the closest city to you in the same timezone in the drop-down menu you see there and then click “save changes”.
2. Make sure the post that’s out of order is not out of order due to sticky post assignment.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-visibility/3. Check the date and timestamp http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/schedule-a-post/ Edit the datestamp and timestamp if required.
4. If none of that is successful type modlook into the sidebar tags of the forum thread for Staff help. Subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond. To subscribe:
1. Look in the sidebar of this thread and find the subscribe to topics link.

Thank you, timethief! I went in and edited the (incorrect) publication dates that WordPress (very possibly WordPress mobile) had put into two posts, and now everything appears in the right order. Very much appreciated.
