My last post gets re-emailed to subscribers again and again, without my knowledge. My post of 24 April has now been sent 4 times to my email subscribers and I am starting to lose subscribers. I have cjhanged passwords, my settings are the same as always.
Please help. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Oh my! That won’t do and this is very odd because the posts we publish ought to be sent once only and not be sent again when we edit and update. I’ll tag this thread for a Staff follow-up. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

Thank you for responding..I am at my wits end since it has been happening with all my 3 last posts.(every time the last post).

You’re welcome and please hang in there knowing Staff have to answer all threads tagged for their attention before this one was tagged.

Hi there,
I’m sorry about that! As timethief mentioned, those posts should not be emailed out to your subscribers more than once.
Can you please reply here with the email addresses of some of your subscribers who received an email update more than once? (You can put the email addresses in your reply, and they will be hidden so only staff can see them.) That will help me investigate this for you.

Hi, thanks for replying.
The frequency of re-emailing is now up to almost everyday.
I am adding some email addresses here from subscribers who sent me replies yesterday that they have received an email of 4 up to 7 times…Trisha Smith [(email visible only to moderators and staff)]
“Hello
I think there is something wrong with your blog.
This is about the 7th time I have received this posting.
Just thought that you would like to know.
Kind regards
Trisha”Louise Christian [(email visible only to moderators and staff)]
Ronelle,
” I just thought I would let you know that I have been receiving your newsletter with the Yoghurt Cake recipe for around 5-6 days in a row…not that I don’t enjoy all your emails, from your blog, but I’m wondering if you might want to check on this to see if something has gone wrong…:)”(email visible only to moderators and staff)
“I’ve been getting the same e-mail from you for several days now and thought you might want to know about it. The yogurt cake looks great, but the email program seem to be set on repeat send. “Anita Giard [(email visible only to moderators and staff)]
“Just a quick word to let you know that I have received your post of April 26th three times again this week.”PS. It only happens with my one blog, Myfrenchkitchen.
Thank you for looking into this, I appreciate it!

Hi Ronelle,
Thanks for sending along those additional details. I checked all of those email addresses, and none of them have an active email subscription to your blog through WordPress.com. That means the email updates they are receiving aren’t coming from us.
I see that you’re using a Feedburner email subscription service, though. If these people are subscribed through the Feedburner service, those emails are coming from Feedburner rather than us, so we can’t control how often the emails go out. You’ll need to get in touch with Feedburner support for help with that.
If you can’t resolve the Feedburner issue, you may want to consider letting your subscribers sign up for emails directly from WordPress.com. You can add this widget to your blog to let people subscribe via email or with the WordPress.com reader: Follow Blog Widget
Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)

Thank you.
Contacting Feedburner is simply a nightmare. I have been trying to do that for weeks now. It seems I will have to change to WordPress subscriptions. I have been sticking to Feedburner, because I have had it for a long time with all subscribers there from the beginning.
Thanks

Hi Ronelle, I completely understand your dilemma. Thankfully, switching to the WordPress.com subscriptions will fix the problem you’re having. You can always make a blog post letting your followers know that signing up for the email subscription with WordPress.com will get rid of the multiple emails — I bet that will motivate them to switch over! :)
