Old posts/reader feed

  I’ve noticed a lot of bloggers I follow seem to bring old posts into the new feed. I’ll click on it expecting it to be new but the date and comments will be from some time in the past, how do they do that?

  When we edit a post we have no ability to prevent it from appearing in the Reader.

  I don’t want to prevent it from appearing in the feed, I just wanted to know what they did to make old posts appear in people’s new feed without changing the date stamp.
