Old site still active

The website https://mothermiser.wordpress.com/wp-admin/ remains active after switching hosts for the domain http://www.mothermiser.com and redesigning the website.
WordPress presently serves as a 3rd party for the registrar
We have waited about 4-5 weeks and the old website is still appearing for people that previously viewed
Could you please verify that the old site previously hosted with WordPress is completely purged and NO longer active? There have been numerous problems with 404 errors (RSS links), content not appearing and subscribers possibly departing due to the old site being active/not purged.

This blog http://mothermiser.wordpress.com is correctly redirecting traffic to http://www.mothermiser.com It will take 3 – 4 months for search engines to re-index the content at the new domain URL.
