Old Site Will Not Die

    Hello! I have a 5 year old site that I thought I deleted back then that is interrupting current people’s SEO. It was a business site. I was able to wrest my way into wordpress with an old password and the site remedypdx.wordpress.com is nowhere attached to my email or name. A different old blog is, but that’s it.

    How do I take it down?

    Hi there, the only author I found on the site at remedypdx.wordpress.com was nightingaleacupuncture but it is not clear whether that was the username account that registered the site here.

    If it is, and you have access to the email account associated with the username, you can try resetting the password by first logging out of this account you are posting from here in the forums and then visiting the WordPress.com log in page and following the lost password prompt there.

    If you don’t have access to the email account and don’t remember the password, you can try recovering the account by following the guide here https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/

    Once you gain access to the account, you can delete it or make it Private following this guide: https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/
