Old theme is showing in my new theme
-
I just opened a new blog and selected a theme during the process until I selected the theme I want. After setup was complete, I selected a theme and activated it. The problem is that the old theme is showing in the body of the new theme. The new theme header is there but the rest of the theme is the old theme. I cleared out my cookies on Chrome and still the issue remains.

Hi there,
I think it will help if I clarify that changing your theme is a lot like changing the clothing on a mannequin. Your content (pages, blog posts, uploaded media) don’t go anywhere or change that much… they just assume the style of the new theme
Or, to think of it another way, when you switch themes by design that content (from your previous theme) is meant to stay there. Newer themes we offer will ask you if you want to add demo content when you switch, but that is not the case for the theme you are using now, which is an older them that was launched before we built the demo content option.
We are able to help however, and can add demo content similar to what you see here: https://wordpress.com/theme/argent/
To do this we will need to delete any content you have on the site now (which will be replaced with demo content) so is there anything you need to save to your computer before we proceed? Thanks for confirming.

Thanks for confirming. We’ve deleted your existing content and added the demo content for you – you can see that on your site now.
You should be all set!
