Old upgrades are about to expire but don't know what is needed for our new website design

  Hello, a consultant developed our new site in the spring and at the same time, removed the secure socket. For updates to the new site I was given a wordpress login. Meanwhile we use Hostgator to host the site. On our old site that included https, we paid for custom design, no ads and redirections. I can’t tell what I need to renew and time is running out. I can’t make updates to the site in Hostgator. Please help.

  Hi @pattyporter, it sounds like your site was hosted with us before, and now it is hosted at Hostgator.

  We include HTTPS with all custom domains, so when your site was here it would have SSL.

  Hostgator may or may not, but I bet they can help you get it if needed. Can you get in touch with them and ask for SSL?

  Also, now that you’re using your own WordPress.org installations, you’ll want to refer to the WordPress.org site for help, as there are some differences between the free software project and our service:
