    I have my portfolio running on wordpress for years, but it seems that my editor is super outdated compared to the new offerings that you have.

    It sounds like you are starting out after a long pause, and you are right that a lot has changed. For example we now use a thing called the “block editor” which allows you to easily create rich page layouts using image and text blocks to allow you to create and rearrange elements, no coding or special knowledge needed.
