Old website CSS into wordpress

    Hi there,

    I’ve got a website which I wish to edit through WordPress.com, I’ve purchased the CSS upgrade, and I’d like to find a way to import the previous style sheet from my last website into my WordPress.com one. If I get hold of the style sheet from my other website, would it be possible to copy the CSS code into WordPress, to get a ‘WordPress version’ of my older website.

    That is not going to work. CSS is not standard in the way that it is implemented. CSS is specific to the site or theme that is being used because the designer determines what they are going to name the selectors for any particular project. In one, the header area might be under #header while in another it might be under #masthead, or #head, or #something. It is entirely up to the designer.

    What you will have to do is start with a theme here that is close to the same general layout, and then rework the CSS for that theme so that it looks similar to your old website.
