Old WordPress address which I no longer have still posting to my Twitter feed

    Good morning! In the past, I had a blog on WordPress.com. It was configured so that whenever there was a post, it would post it to my Twitter feed. Since then, I have erased that blog and completely deleted it from WordPress.com. I have switched my Twitter handle, and I have changed my Twitter password several times.

    Just this morning, it seems somebody created a blog with the URL of my old WordPress.com blog and made a first post, which automatically posted itself to my Twitter feed. I have checked the Apps access in Twitter and there’s no access for WordPress.com.

    How can I disconnect WordPress from my Twitter account?

    Hi there,

    I will need to know the URL of the site in question, as well as the Twitter handle to which the posts are being made. It’s impossible to investigate if you don’t tell us the site.

    I’m well aware that I need to provide specifics, but the forum system warned me not to post private data, and since this is a public forum I would rather not do it. Is there a way I can send you that information privately?

    A website URL and Twitter handle are not private data. That warning referred to telephone numbers or other private information that shouldn’t be online.

    But I’ve sent you an email so we can resolve this privately. Let me know if you don’t receive it.
