Old WordPress-username still in Google while changed days back

  I changed my username recently (as a matter of fact I changed it a couple of times). Now, a few years back I used to be of the authors of a group blog and I wanted Google not to find my work there if somebody entered my name (= old username) in Google. It however still does, though my (old user)name is nowhere on that group blog anymore. Is this a WordPress related thing which I somehow missed ?

  It’s not about content being removed, it’s about the WordPress-username associated with that content. Entering my late WordPress-username in Google shouldn’t give any WordPress-results if my username is no longer in use neither in the generated results, should it (at least not after a few days) ?

  I’ll show you what I mean. Entering “bjorn roose” in Google produces as one of the results this page: http://rechtsactueel.com/author/bjornroose/. It even states, in the Google rankings, “Read all of the posts by Björn Roose on RECHTS ACTUEEL”. “Björn Roose” was the name I used as WordPress-username before, but no longer since a few days.

  So, I wondered if that might be connected to WordPress

  As far as I can tell, you changed your username about 8 hours ago. Eventually, Google’s index will reflect current content, but it might take several weeks for the index to be updated.

  In this case, please be patient as Google does their thing.

  I changed it twice as a matter of fact (first time some days ago), but okay, I’ll wait for Google to do its thing.

  Since I started this post because of the fact I wanted my name detached from the site I mentioned together with my name, I would appreciate it if you were kind enough to consider it a valid personal safety concern.

  I would by the way have asked this in a personal message to one of the people on WordPress if that were possible. But I had no other apparent option than posting my question in this public forum.

  So, please please consider removing this discussion. Thank you very much.
